Mojito

The refreshing taste of mint and lime is irresistible in combination with white rum. Enjoy a little bit of summer in a mojito glass from early spring to late summer.

Mojito has been popular for over 500 years

Enjoyed by Hemingway, Pablo Neruda, and Fidel Castro. But James Bond made it into a worldwide hit!

Mojito dates to the 16th century, sailor Captain Francis Drake mixed spirit with ingredients he had onboard.

Cuban farmers had plenty of sugar, lime, mint and rum. Thanks to that, Mojito eventually became the most popular cocktail in Havana’s bars.

Mojito became known in 2002 after James Bond was caught sipping on this drink in one of his movies

Did you know…?

Mojito is one of the five lowest-calories cocktails. It has about 252 calories, and even less if you exclude sugar.

Remember mojito as you ponder the next dessert. Widely-available mojito ice creams have up to 100 calories per 100 ml. You can also make ice cream at home.
