Miniature encyclopedia of whiskey: Which whiskey to choose and how to enjoy it
Did you know that no two brands of whiskey taste the same? This is especially true for “single malt” whiskeys made from one type of malt. The quality of the barley malt used, how it is dried and now the mash matures in the barrels all have an impact on the final taste. For example, whiskey aged in bourbon or sherry barrels has intriguing flavors.
To get the perfect enjoyment of whiskey, roll each sip for a few seconds in your mouth, like you are chewing it. This completely opens up the flavor in it. It is also a good idea to add a little water to the whiskey to release the taste and also to protect your taste buds.

How do you serve whiskey? Ideally without ice
Serving an alcoholic beverage correctly makes the taste of each one stand out better. And whiskey is no exception. Forget the classic small shots to down it in a single swallow. Whiskey should be savored, rolling each sip on the tongue. Ideally use short, wide whiskey tumblers with a rough bottom to enjoy it. Even more suitable are tulip glasses, named for the narrow neck shaped like a tulip.

Something interesting to entertain family and friends, too
There is no better way to celebrate International Whisk(e)y Day than to drink it. By the way, International Scotch Day falls each year on the 27th of July. The oldest recorded production of whisky dates back to 1494. 150 years later, this “fiery” water was first taxed by the Scottish Parliament. Today an amazing one billion bottles of Scotch whisky are exported from Scotland each year.
